* National Archives Welcome: Allen Weinstein, Archivist of the United States
* "Lincoln Scholarship Today", by Michael Burlingame, Abraham Lincoln Institute Program Committee.
* "Manhunt, the 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer" (actually, he made this a talk about the myths and legends surrounding the assassination), by James L. Swanson. Introduced by John Sellers. (Originally, the talk was going to be "How Some Few “Remarks” Became the Gettysburg Address" by Gabor Boritt, Director of the Civil War Institute at Gettysburg College and author of Gettysburg Gospel. However, he got sick and James was called in at the last moment.)

* "Copperheads: The Rise and Fall of Lincoln's Opponents" by Jennifer L. Weber. Introduced by Michael P. Musick.
* Update on the Lincoln Bicentennial: Eileen Machevich, Executive Director, Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission
* Comments on the Ford Theatre Society by Jeff Hale.
Slide Show: Want to see all of medium-sized pictures in a slide show? (This option will look horrible if your screen resolution is 800x600 or less. And make sure you expand the window that pops up to full screen so you can see them okay.)

2007 Images: In 2007, I used the Fuji S9000 almost exclusively except for the period when it broke and I had to send it back for repairs. In August, I bought a Canon Rebel Xti, my first digital SLR (vs regular digital) which I tried as well but I wasn't that excited by it. Trips this year included two weeks down south (including Graceland, Shiloh, VIcksburg, and New Orleans), a week at a time share in Costa Rica over my 50th birthday, a week off for a family reunion in the Wisconsin Dells (with sidetrips to Dayton, Springfield, and Madison), a week in San Diego for the Comic-Con with a side trip to Michigan for two family reunions, a drive up to Niagara Falls, a couple of weekend jaunts including the Civil War Preservation Trust Grand Review in Vicksburg, and a December journey to three state capitols (Richmond, Raleigh, and Columbia). I saw sites in 18 states and 3 other countries this year -- the first year I'd been to more than two other countries since we lived in Venezuela when I was a little toddler. I took about 225,000 photos this year.
Got Culture? I hope a number of people look at this site and say, "Hey! I didn't realize how much I was missing!"
