Specific picture descriptions: Photos above with "i" icons next to the bracketed sequence numbers (e.g. "[1] ") are described as follows:
1. MDSNOW_100208_035.JPG: This was the on-ramp from Colesville to I-495. They had stopped traffic while front-loaders tried to move the snow.
2. MDSNOW_100208_056.JPG: This is I-495, the beltway. The large sections of stuff in the road are compacted snow. Riding over it is like riding over a continuous line of rumble strips.
3. MDSNOW_100208_071.JPG: This is Route 1, University Blvd. Most of it was compressed snow which was quite hard to drive on.
4. MDSNOW_100208_132.JPG: I-495 again. Yeech driving!
